THE DAWGS ARE BACK TO BACK CFP NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

1 January- Kirby Lee, USA TODAY Sports

UGA dominates TCU in CFP National Championship 65-7 and rolls into an easy 15-0 season as the clear #1 team for the 2022-23 college football season.

After the CFP semi-final games, a lot of college football fans were excited to see what kind of entertainment would await them in the championship but sadly, were probably dissapointed with the outcome, unless they were UGA fans.

Georgia began the game with 10 unanswered points in the first 8 minutes of the game later answered by 7 TCU points with a little less than 5 minutes left in the quarter. These were the first and last points scored by the Horned Frogs.

The Bulldogs went on to score 8 more touchdowns. Stetson Bennett was involved in scoring 6 of UGA’s total 9 touchdowns with 2 rushing and 5 passing touchdowns for the 25 year old quarterback.

Kirby Smart and his players have much more work to do in the 2023 season despite being the 2023-24 favorites. Instead of saying anything about a three-peat, Smart instead replied to a reporter with what could keep his team from winning it all in the next season.

“It's human nature to relax…” he said, “it's easy to get comfortable. And comfortable does not win.’’

The Bulldogs have championship DNA built in, and with plenty of talent already, and more to come, who’s to say they won’t surprise college fans in 2023 with another championship win?

As of right now, The University of Georgia will enjoy its sweet victory and Athens will continue to roar into the championship parade Saturday.
