What is Dreamer Journalism?
Dreamer Journalism is Baylor Garrett’s media platform designed to bring Middle Georgia closer together:
“Whether through good hearted stories or by sharing several interesting views, one of my main goals is to spread positivity endlessley in our area. Another one of my biggest goals is to bring attention to great businesses, athletes, new programs and events, good people, and more importantly to never give up on being a dreamer.”

Why “Dreamer”?
The dictionary may define the word dreamer as someone who lives in a fantasy world with too much of an imagination, but who decided to make the rule that our imaginations stop when we become adults?
We believe that although having dreams may begin at a young age, it doesn’t mean that they should stop there. Being a dreamer is more than fairytales and outrageous ideas, it is a lifestyle. We want it to be known that dreams aren’t meant to die, and just because someone is grown up, it doesn’t mean that their life needs to be boring, and most importantly there is no need to settle. Dreamer Journalism’s number one goal is to inspire others to keep dreaming no matter what.

Baylor Garrett is a sophomore at Valdosta State University, majoring in communication. Baylor attended Veterans High School for 3 years and graduated from Georgia Connections Academy in 2021. He played several sports throughout high school, has always been interested in writing, and has had several dreams. In 2017, Garrett started his own clothing line called Enliven Threads with the intention to spread positivity throughout his area. After a while, he started to think much bigger than just a small clothing line, and began working on Dreamer Journalism in 2020.
“This is more than a hobby for me, it’s what I live for. I live to inspire others to dream; I dream to inspire. I started this idea with the intention of being able to reach countless others in a positive way. This is just the beginning and i’m not going to stop here, I will always keep dreaming.”

Guest articles are any kind of media that a guest wants to feature on our platform. We have many different kinds of guest articles from sports, to photography, and hopfully in the future podcasting/videography.
