ATLANTA- The Georgia Bulldogs take down LSU in the SEC championship Saturday.
This win marks the Bulldogs 14th SEC title and 16th conference title, leaving the Dawgs at #2 in SEC championships won, just under Alabama’s 29 SEC championship titles.
Georgia rises to a perfect undefeated season at 13 and 0, as the Tigers fall to 9-5. The Dawgs out scored LSU by 20 points in a deafening win of 50-30. This win marks UGA’s 14th win against the Tigers giving UGA a total record of 14-18-1 against LSU.
The undisputed #1 Bulldogs have beaten 5 ranked teams, each of those wins being by 14 or more points. The Dawgs have the best red zone defense with only 17 red zone scores and have only allowed 12.8 points per game, making them second under Illinois.
Announced Sunday morning, the Bulldogs will go on to face the #4 Ohio State Buckeyes in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl at 8pm on January 31, and Michigan, at #2 will play #3 TCU in the fiesta bowl at 4pm.
